I am sorry that i am not able to blog in this blog the past few days because i am still having some problems adjusting to the “army life”. For those of you who might not know, I am enlisted for national service since the last 2 weeks and currently, i am trying to plan and manage my time well so that i can maximise my 2 years in army.
If you blog, i want you to ask yourself this question. “Why do you blog??” I develop this blog primarily because i wanted to make money online with my blog after inspired by so many successful bloggers. At the same time, all my friends have at least a blog, so in order for me to keep up with the trend, i have to create mine.
I know asking yourself that question is kind of stupid, so don’t comment on that. But i believe everyone do something for a reason. For example, students go to school because they want to get educated and find a prospective job in future. They want to learn things that benefit them. Business owners employ people because they want people to generate more wealth for them. So afterall, before you can achieve something, you need to have a purpose.
When i first started out in blogging, i do not know the purpose of me blogging. I just blog for the sake of blogging, which inturn led me to nowhere. I am losing my direction! And of course, you can see my archives and view my first few posts. Quality is very low. There are alot of problems, i have problems everyday coming out with new post, i do not know what i am going to blog about? And look back, all this happen because i do not have a solid purpose in blogging.
It was then i decided i should blog about webmaster related / web development stuffs because that might be the only area that i could share my knowledge on. After getting my purpose in blogging fixed, i have no problems coming out with new posts, because i know myself that what i want to do with this blog is to share my experiences in webmastering stuffs. And you know the difference, i have more traffic, ad sales and more value.
So after wasting so many months in blogging, i learn that before you do anything, it is best that your list your purpose and goals right and go towards it without changing your main goal ( document it down ). Currently, i am working on the community i develop and i am kind of stuck with it because i did not set the goals for it right. Here’s one lesson learnt. I hope you guys won’t follow my footsteps…
