Before point 2 you should add “who is your target audience”. You need to know your readers to appeal to them. Otherwise noone will read your stuff.

@Chelle: You made a very interesting point there. I see alot of blogs with post that almost given the same information. I made such mistakes in the past too. I think that blogs becoming too repetitive is due to the reason that bloggers are out of ideas to blog about.

I think one of the traps a lot of bloggers fall into is becoming too repetitive. A lot of blogs could probably do away with about half of their posts because they all seem to say the exact same thing.
