Pay or Not Pay for the traffic to your website

by Derek on December 29, 2008

There is countless success stories from which you will hear talk about the good businesses that are on the Internet. The disturbing fact is that there are perhaps dozens or even hundreds of stories that contradict these. Many companies have started business on the Internet that has failed, and only a handful of them will succeed.

And this is due to luck? No, goes far beyond that. It takes a good approach of doing business, a lot of help and effort of a team. And, more importantly, is the enthusiasm that is put to succeed, determination to learn, the desire to invest much hard work at first, and some money.

Some More Basics:

Traffic is “The First.” Without traffic, all your efforts would be wasted. Every business needs customers, because without them you would not have anybody to whom to sell their products. Internet traffic in the world is like the customer who walks to his shop. The more traffic you have, the more people will be able to sell their products.

But like any business that is in any corner or in a shopping center, not all that we buy, but the greater the number of those entering, the greater the number of people who buy their products. The fact is simple and well known.

But how do you get traffic that is quite important to achieve a small percentage of potential buyers and get a good profit?

Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands of visitors per day and only a tiny percentage are those who buy, but that small percentage is enough for them to do good business.

Many of the protagonists of these success stories get their traffic through the payment they make to other people. Yes, that is correct; you have to spend money to make money. Announcing is the key. The more people that know your site exists, more people will go to your site as you see, that’s just a little common sense.

Although there are many ways that advertising can do for free, that does not generate the same high volume as the other methods that charge. These paid advertisements include projecting ads on Google and Yahoo!

Value of Search:

The search is easier and faster to find what a person needs on the Internet. Search engines are popular because they provide a vital service to many people. Also, are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they receive many visitors and clicks to the most common sites to which people tend to go. Then it is easy to deduce why so many companies would pay for advertising on these search engines.

Search engines provide information to millions of users who visit each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your site is at the top of search results, has a very high probability that they go to their site. While optimizing the search engine is an option that has one of the cheaper costs to get your Web site a good location, ads payments ensure that you get to the site Top of the list.

When you pay for your ads, it’s like paying for your traffic. This may seem a not-so-good idea, but the purchase orders received by him will see a different story. When paying for your traffic, you have secured a stable and constant flow of traffic to your site. You will never have a day without sales.

Paying For Your Traffic:

Normally you are charged for the number of click you get each of its links when a user uses it, called as pay-per-click (PPC). In some search engines will be charged for the number of times their ads are shown or when a certain keyword or key phrase is searched. It is essential that you have a good content in advertisements for these keywords. There are many tools that can provide help to use the keywords right at the right time.

All the money you spend to pay for your traffic will not be in vain. You will get an impressive traffic on its Web site that will also produce a major boost in its sales. Paying for your traffic would be a very good idea and you will get all the benefits they have to offer.

I agree that ‘it takes money to make money’. I’m not sure that ppc is the best way to go, especially for start up internet businesses. For example, from my stats, I see that some clicks to my site are from spammers and telemarketers who want to know if I’d like to outsource my business to India. I’m glad I’m not paying for those clicks.
