well, we actually do directory submissions professionally. I’m from Belgium, but living in Thailand. For sure we don’t do 1000 for just $8. remember; when you pay with peanuts, you’re buying a monkey. There are many aspects that can make a huge difference; 1 example; for sure that service who work for $8 didn’t actually check the directories and that at least 40-60% of the submissions are wasted on low value or even no value directories.

our clients are very well aware of this, as they did order previously from 1 of those cheap (read: crappy) services and know very well that we provide a much better service.

But there’s more to it …

1) somebody needs to prepare the info, that’s your job
2) all services use only the general and free directories, there are also the paid and the niche directories, those are also yours to do

in other words; you order a basic package for a low fee, so you have plenty of time to search for a couple of really good niche and/or paid directories.

There’s no way it’s profitable. You can do so much better flipping blogs or affiliate marketing or doing something like that – the hourly rate is so low
