How to convert your visitors into buyers?

by Derek on January 3, 2009

If you want more people to visit your Web site then it is because you’re selling something. This may be a product such as electronic books, clothes, music, tools or something less tangible as commercial or Ad Sense. The list is huge.  People who come to your Web page are not necessarily going to buy from you. To buy from you, they need to have a degree of confidence in what you do in your product and you as a person.

The Internet is very impersonal. Your Web site is a collection of words, graphics and sounds and possibly videos. It is not a person. But those who visit your Web site if they are people and their language is human, which means that their communication needs a level of connection, intimacy and trust with another person.

This connection, intimacy and trust can be set on your website as follows:

1. Connection

The connection is established between the person who visits your site and the content of this in less than 5 seconds. Just the theme of your website has to be related to what he or she is seeking. So although the word “sex” and “free” are the most quoted on the Internet, do not put it in your content or in your Meta tags unless they offer something related to sex or offer something for free. The way your site is found by your future customers is via search engines, via articles you have published on other pages, such as directories of articles, and via links from other sites or forums etc. If you spend all these inbound links to the theme of your website, people come to have a connection to the content.

2. Intimacy

Do not talk to your future customers like they are “clients”, instead talk respectfully and friendly. Obviously if your website contains products for the scientific community does not like to talk as if it is surfing. Imagine that these talking with your best friend, so you need to communicate on your Web page. When you write the content of this, write it just because a person is not a group that is going to read, but many individuals.

3. Trust

For your future customers have confidence in you have to make known that you know everything there is to know about what you are selling. You can do this by writing articles about your topic, entering partnerships, creating awareness that you have certificates and licenses, very important, being the author of a book on the subject.

Points you have mentioned are really important for affiliate marketer. Trust & Connection are the two main things followed by intimacy. Mostly customers want to be satisfied that the product they are buying is useful & best, so by writing informative articles about your product will help gain trust of your customers.
