Quality of digitalpoint is dropping over the years
I have been a very supportive member of digitalpoint since 2 years back, but now, it’s regretful to see the forum being monopolized by “crap” moderators ( only some ). If they don’t like you, they ban you, if you snatch their business, they ban you. This is how they play. Well, i don’t know which moderator banned me, but obviously, there’s something wrong with the moderator because i do not deserved it.
Well, i think shaun hogan have to do something about the forum, if not the forum that he established with so much effort will go to waste.
Frankly speaking, my online income stream have been crippled with this unexpected ban because most of my online income comes from the services i offers in digitalpoint. But however, here’s one lesson i learn. Like what adam khoo said, always have multiple stream of income, don’t put all eggs in one basket.
OK, now i experienced it, i finally know the true meaning behind it. I will get over this really fast. One ban won’t destroy me! Watch out!
Well I just found out I got banned too. The reason was post bumping. Really crazy man as all I did was thank one of my buyers.
I got banned once for reply to a post by saying “Pm me”

I just got banned too for replying to a moderator who was extremely rude herself. I didn’t know that 10 infraction points mean that you get permanently banned. When I log in it tells me that it would get lifted on Sept 28th but the mail does say 10 infraction points, does that mean that I can’t ever go back to DP?
Oh I forgot to add, they did not even give me a reason for banning and the thread that they send me, i can’t access anyways.

Yeah their management really sucks and the worst part is most people are scared to stand up to crap because they don’t want to be banned. Somebody should hack DP and delete all mod accounts, will serve them right.

My ID has been banned permanent as well just a while ago. this made all my firends on DP and PM history are gone. A part of mods of DP are real stupid.

yea, I’m 200% agree with u. a lot of scared guys on DP, their ID is fine. but me, do nothing bad on DP, banned permanent.
Digital point sucks they also banned me no reason at all 7 day ban while in the middle of a sale I think I may have showed a mod trying to scam members on digitalpoint lol that’s ok I’m a 81310518 from way back bye bye dp have fun :-p

I got banned for 7 days today. I don’t know the reason. It is paintfull because the banned me in the middle of negotiation of my business
These ridiculous bans are a big part of why so many of us have left DP and gone to NetBuilders.org.

Get used to it. This is digitalpoint to a tee. Someone should replace them as a forum. They ban EVERYONE – they banned me because my mentally ill brother in law used his account at my house – on a totally different computer… go figure!
I’m presently bookmarking every moderators blog and websites.I say one hits the lot of them by submitting all of their websites to every porn site imaginable online in one mass concerted effort.
I’m on my third account at DigitalPoint, thousands of posts to my name, I always pride myself on clean language, trying to be as helpful to all other members as possible, yet again, I’ve got some moderator stalking my posts and handing out infractions for the most ridiculously silly reasons.
I well understand the rules at DP and purposefully never post messages such as ‘pm me’ etc, all of my posts are informative and high quality, I pride myself on this point.
Yet, along comes a grumpy mod, with nothing better to do with their time as usual, handing out infraction points for the most silly of reasons, out of all proportion to any amount of reasonableness. It’s absolutely stupid.
They allow scammers galore yet punish the very people trying to up the quality of the place as if they have nothing better to do all day long, than to sit behind their monitors looking for every reason to fault and pick at every poster under the sun, even if those posters have thousands of posts to their name.
It would be good one of these days, to get a moderator account and password and instantly ban the bloody moderators there en masses, see how they like it!
As it is, I’m going to start soon submitting some of their sites very soon to a wide range of porn sites, let’s see how they like it being hurt in THEIR pockets.

I just got banned for absolutely no reason. I even went to the site and searched my name and clicked on view all posts. There is not a single offensive or infraction worthy post on there. My ban goes away in a week, but this is ridiculous. Don’t know what to do, but I am with you brother in exposing the faults of these moderators.
Well i got banned for month telling as affiliate program abuse but i have just posted
a thread for connecting indian members in india and asked them their real name and location, i have got 28 replies within 5 hours but one mod banned me as affiliate program abuse…

I also got banned! I’m totally new to IM and was looking for affiliates for The100CalorieDiet.com. I really don’t know why they banned me. I just said I needed help with selling my eBook. I had just gone live and really needed some help. I think the forum is for small minded players. Can anyone suggest a forum for me?
they also banned me for “bumping my thread” . All I did was replying a little slow to my customers, so that the thread stays up. I have a great rep, so was very shocked. THEY DON’T BAN SCAMMERS, which deserve it, THEY TAKE IT on simple honest members who make some small mistakes. Got a 7 day ban. Hope it will get lifted. Watch out those who have threads opened. Only write quality information posts . NO “thank you , etc” , etc messages. You will get banned.

I got a 8 day ban for standing up to a scammer! Wow this forum is pathetic, everyone spams and there are basically little to none informative posts, I feel everyone replies with irrelevant information. Oh well thats what you get, crap moderators = crap members.

I’ve been a member of DP for a few years now, and I am just getting tired of it. I have never been banned, but have received infractions. My last one was for five points for “Spamming”. I didn’t spam anyone, and the day I got it, I was out of town, and hadn’t even logged in. To top it off, the mod included a link to where I made the infraction and it didn’t even work. Talk about crap infractions. Content on DP is also pretty dismal lately. Simply filled with “did page rank change today” threads, WTS threads, and earn$$$ junk.
I just got banned a gain 3rd time in 2 month.
I am not sure why they keep doing this, I really hate DP and i would not use them but i do make money from this site, however they really need to clean up there act, it would be nice if everyone boycot them and just used sitepoint

I have been on DP for about two month without any problems, then today I get three in one day. One was for saying “thank you for your post” another was saying “try ebay” and that comment i got two!!
Well in my opinoin dp is not that great to be a trade point. I’m predicting that if the mass banning continues some other forum will gain more popularity or so to speak “You should start a forum like DP now!!”

Its been 2 years at DP now,but never been banned yet,though recieved many infarctions. Recently got FIVE INFARCTINS on same day worth one point each,lasting for 3 months !! THAT TOO ON MY BIRTHDAY. lol
Got banned today too…they are full of crap! The minute I landed a semi-decent gig off there is when they decide to ban me for “useless posts”.

DP did not found a way to get things sorted out and so they thought banning is the right way to ask people to read the rules. There are better ways of doing this.
Im thinking of sharing my experience too. Right after when I read their email for me I totally got depressed! I never thought that I will be banned there, The reason is because I said “PM me the link” its just a part of my post!
I was like: I dont deserve that!” They banned me but those bad guys who talks about nasty stuffs are still on their forum. I think its just unfair! I was kinda thinking of seeing a anti-digitalpoint forum after that but uh-well I landed on your page. Im thinking of quitting (not making another account) but I want to work for the forums on the buy and sell. Guys any other forum where I can find forum poster jobs?

The original poster seems to be commiting fraud.. Because they are saying you get 74 backlinks. I don’t think it should be a 10 point infraction..
But you also should have earned infractions for “PM sent” as you mentioned in there. The only infractions I have earned are called 1 pointers, and I have earned 10 (but they changed one to a 0 pointer).. So if I get 1 point I am banned. If I do I will be back to complain… But, seriously.. You NEED to PM a mod… And discuss it..

According to one of the members, I’m not allowed to give an iTrader unless my account is more than 14 days old. But why would they ban anyone because of this? The motherf*cker moderator should have sent me a pm about it.

Digital Point has morons for moderators. They sell premium memberships and still ban you for minor “technical” infractions even after taking your money. Oddly they allow spam and ridiculous nonsense posts from some members while they overapply obscure, senseless rules hidden within their terms. It’s all at their discretion and there is no review process. Don’t waste your time or money on their shitty forums. It’s too bad because they could have a nice place for serious webmasters to network.

Dude I just found this post because I was banned from DP for no reason whatsoever. In the email they sent, it says Warning Received for [No title] Title: [No title] [profile warning, not linked to specific content]. It doesn’t say whether that it’s temporary or anything, either.
I didn’t do anything wrong, for sure. I was creating some really awesome posts so that I could get the 3 likes necessary to be an established member, then out of the blue I’m banned. Seems like they would give a little more info other than a template email that says nothing. I can’t access anything on the site, either. They provided a link to see the violation and it just says “rules violation”. Well no shit, Sherlock. Screw DP man they suck.
